Bassingbourn church has a vibrant children's ministry, with around thirty youngsters, aged 0-11, connected to our Sunday and weekday activities.
Each Sunday at 10.45am, whilst the adults worship in church, Kidz Club meets in the church room for a fun mixture of activities and teaching. Any number between eight and twenty 3-11 year olds enjoy bible stories, creative prayer, action songs, craft activities and games. We then join the adults across the road to tell them what we’ve all done!
On the first Sunday of every month, Kidz Club takes over the main church service. Each service takes a biblical theme or passage and expounds it in song, dance, drama, word, multimedia presentation and puppeteering.
The teaching, songs and prayers are very child-friendly, of course, but there’s usually something profound for everyone to take away. From the young people in the worship band, to the adults and children teaming up in drama sketches.
Each Friday afternoon, members of the church lead an after school Christian club, called Fish Club, at Bassingbourn Primary School, bringing church to them and reaching 25 children there.

Once a month the church room welcomes mums and carers, toddlers and babies for a light lunch, time to chat (for the adults) and time to play (for the little ones). After lunch it’s time for a simple story, usually followed by a song. To find out more call Doreen Smith on 01763 242731.
