MUMA - (Mothers’ Union, Mothers Active) is part of the Mothers Union.
MUMA exists to support and encourage mothers because we understand that at different times motherhood is a difficult but rewarding job, a relentless, tiring and frustrating job, a stretching and satisfying job, a job that can leave you in despair or in the heights of happiness, a job with overwhelming responsibility.
MUMA encourages mothers/grandparents to grow in faith, as well as creating a network of friendships as we step out to live lives which have changed dramatically since having children.
On most Fridays in term-time we meet at the United Reformed Church in South End at 9:15am for coffee and cake for the first hour together. Then we have a very relaxed time of sharing and discussing a 'thought for the day' and finishing at 11:00am. The exception is when we are holding the play group - see below.
We also hold a play group in the village from 9am to 11am. Its free so just come along to the Church Room (opposite the Church) with your child and relax with a coffee while they play.
