MUMA - (Mothers’ Union, Mothers Active) is part of the Mothers Union.
MUMA exists to support and encourage mothers because we understand that at different times motherhood is a difficult but rewarding job, a relentless, tiring and frustrating job, a stretching and satisfying job, a job that can leave you in despair or in the heights of happiness, a job with overwhelming responsibility.
MUMA encourages mothers/grandparents to grow in faith, as well as creating a network of friendships as we step out to live lives which have changed dramatically since having children.
We meet for coffee and cake for the first hour together before a very relaxed time of sharing and discussing a 'thought for the day'. Meetings are on Friday mornings during term-time from 9-11am at the United Reformed Church in South End. The exception is the last Friday of every month when we come together for toddler lunch in the Church Room from midday to around 1.30pm.
